Designer Richard Sapper created the Melodic kettle, the first in the designer tea kettle series for Alessi in 1982. Designed to please more than one sense, it features two brass whistles that play a pleasant harmonious melody once water reaches the boiling point. This sculptural kettle is made of mirror-polished stainless steel with a handle of black polyamide. Found in the collections of numerous design museums as well as kitchen counters around the world.
